This website is my effort to change what’s going on in the world today. It is a “hobby” website and isn’t supported by any institution or organization. Just me. My opinions are not politically correct and will probably offend some.
Am I An Atheist?
I don’t meet the standard of certainty needed to call myself an atheist because I can’t offer convincing proof that god doesn’t exist. But on the other hand I can’t prove to any degree of certainty that god does exist. That leaves me stranded in the intellectual middle ground of uncertainty.
I’m clearly not a Christian, nor a Jew, nor a Muslim, nor a Hindu, nor a Buddhist. But I do acknowledge the possibility that god could exist in some form or another. However if god does exist it’s in none of the commercial forms represented by the big 5 religions. Bottom line, I strongly doubt god exists.
But since my doubt doesn’t reach the level of confidence needed to call myself an atheist, I will represent myself as a secular thinker.
I created and maintain this web site to accomplish several personal goal:
- To help organize and clarify my thoughts by writing to an audience
- To get public feedback on my work to identify its strengths, weaknesses, and errors
- To share my knowledge and maybe change the world
- Eventually to make money by running google ads and affiliate sales through amazon.com
Talk to me in my language
I expect my audience will be liberal thinkers, atheists, and a few religious folks looking to refute what I am saying. If you are the latter please do not quote scripture to me because I do not recognize the bible as an authority.
I welcome a lively and intelligent discussion, but talk to me in terms that I can understand; reason and logic. Otherwise you will not be heard.
My Writing Skills
Unfortunately my writing style sucks. I’m aware of this. But I also realize that it will improve over time and with practice. So I’m getting started and doing the best I can.
You can either suffer along until my writing skills improve to your satisfaction, or you can leave and come back later.
